Ricky Ward
Ricky Ward worked for the San Fransisco Giants for thirteen years as a minor league Hitting Coach. HIs job was to assess and begin implementing refinements for players entering professional baseball.
Back in 1989, Ricky was drafted in the 10th Round out of Chemeketa Community College by the San Fransisco Giants as a shortstop. From Chemeketa he was heavily recruited by, Oklahoma State, University of Nebraska, Texas Tech University, Arizona State University. Ricky signed a full scholarship with Arizona State University, but decided to sign with the Giants. He played five years of minor league baseball.

- 4 Lesson Package – $220.00

Family Pricing option
- Packages must be split between the children evenly
- To qualify, one child must hit weekly and other child must hit twice a month
- $50.00 for 30 minutes
- 8 Lesson Package – $370.00
- 12 Lesson Package – $530.00

Services Included:
- Drop Box Account: all session videos and photos are store here for hitters to view anytime they want from home computer, smartphone or tablet.
- Sewing Tracker Data Tracking: This sensor attaches to the hitters bat and records 11 different metrics including: swing plane into impact; time to impact; barrel speed; barrel distance in the zone; ball exit speed; hand speed and five other metrics. All this data is uploaded to the Diamond Kinetics website, where hitters can monitor their progress on their own. Each hitter can see how they measure up against kids across the country within their age group.
Focal Points Addressed in Private Lessons
- Swing that fits you. This can be verified by watching a night of lessons to see that I build swings to fit each individual hitter.
- Game plans/Approaches: We’ll create game plans that will improve your chances of success.
- Batting Practice: Each individual hitter receives 60-90 swings.
- Pitching Machine used occasionally aid in velocity train and left-hand curveball development.
- Off-Season Development: Improve ability to hit RH and LH Curveballs; changeups; and sliders.
- Leg kick and knee tuck development for those interested in maximizing their power potential.
